For a number of years I've had my Goldwing covered by the Preferred Maintenance Plan. Most of the time I've dealt with Fred at the Service counter. He's knowledgeable, friendly, and is thorough in describing options and reasons for work being done. Once the work is complete, he goes through everything that has been done. Once I thought I had a small shimmy after new tires were installed. 3 of the service techs took the bike for a test ride. That's the extent they will go to in investigating an issue. Other times they've coached me on different aspects of care and service I can do myself.As long as these guys stay in business, this will be where I shop and have my bike serviced.

Many dealers will not work on bikes over 10 years old. Des Plaines Honda does, and they do it with care, attention to detail and pride, and I always tell everyone Go to Des Plaines Honda. My 1997 Goldwing and 2006 Honda Shadow get exclusively worked on only at Des Plaines Honda, and we take full advantage of their winter storage and servicing, along with the great drop off-pick up service. Fred and his team are very good and I look forward to dealing with them each year - how many people can say THAT of their motorcycle service department. In addition, Fred's team have professionally installed aftermarket GPS equipment on my bike, found hidden shorts that were draining the battery, and done a great job of just replacing the odd bolt or screw that might have vibrated off. I always feel like I am riding a safe and cared for bike when it is handled by Des Plaines Honda. My only suggestion is you really need to move to a larger facility that has more service space with ground-level entrance and exits. And give Fred a raise!

All interactions with the service department and I believe mostly with Terry have been excellent. He has bent over backwards to accommodate an older woman who loves her scooter.

I dropped my bike and broke my custom grips. I reordered and the came in quicker than expected. At the same time my new windshield arrived in the mail. I asked to have the service dept to install it. When they discovered that the install would be more difficult and costly they called me and gave me the choice. It wasn't in my budget but I was happy to get a call rather than get a bill for more than I was ready to pay.

I've been bringing in my 2004 Honda Spirit for a couple of years, and I am constantly impressed with the service departments personal service. Patient and knowledgable and always willing to explain and help.

Fred and his team of mechanics are simply the best. They do great work, and are great on follow-through. it is especially appreciated on how they will work on the older bikes, as many dealers won't work on bikes older than 10 years old.

I left my bike for the 12000 mile service. I was given a loaner (I live an hour away from the shop) and when I returned, my bike was serviced and pristine, with no damage or missing parts.

Cuz of that i checked out a lot of weeks which dealer is best and they keep their promises and finally i reach Des Planes Honda. So i applied just for get some information about a motorcyle. But next day Mr Terry reach me and he told me he waiting me for meet. Basically that phone conversation had all my questions and his answers. So i told him i will be there. I pick my wife and i went. When i arrive Mr Terry find me out quickly. I ask more questions and i become more comfortable. They did care me expecially i feel i am not first time met those people. Finally they did their all job VERY WELL and they help me get my imagine motorcyle. When i pay, when i put signature and when i left they were all great and they care about me. So i like my motorcyle and i love the price and warrianty. So do not think too much and just walk in and ask everything. They are doing honest business and trying to get long term customers. Good is good bad is bad guys. They are pretty good.

I have always had a good experience with the Des Plaines Honda Service department. Fred is always curtious and helpful. The only inconvenience when I picked up my bike from storage this year is that it was not ready and I had to wait about a half hour for them to bring it from storage across the street and clean it up. I felt that I had given them enough notice of when I would be there to pick it up. It was cleaned up very nicely though and Fred apologized for the delay. In defense of them, they were very busy at that time because of the crazy weather we have had this early spring. I do not count this against them and still give them the highest rating. I will continue to use DPH for my motorcycle needs.

I worked with Doug, Alfredo and others this past Saturday. I setup an appointment beforehand, so when I arrived the bike I wanted to test ride was gassed up and ready to go! Doug was super helpful and easy to work with. The sales process was no-nonsense, and Doug answered all my questions.Post-sale, Doug had me go through a roadmap, which got me introduced to the parts department, and the service department. The service department gave me a great overview of all the details of my new bike, which I found extremely helpful as a brand new rider.Overall, I was extremely happy with my experience!

John the Service Mgr was very personable, apologetic, and had great customer service. My apologies for not remembering the short bald guy in parts had very good customer service, and so did Jesse Suarez in answering and educating my husband and I regarding some possible future purchases. I had an issue of my 07 Honda 750 cc not starting. I called several motorcycle shops and the wait to diagnose & repair time that was related to was SOMETHING CRAZY! Like 3 1/2 weeks. I'm a brand new rider, so wasn't quite sure what to expect when I came in here. Everybody was extremely friendly and let me sit on the couple of bikes I was trying to decide between and gave me their impressions of the differences. No pressure at all, which was great. I actually didn't intend to buy here as I wanted an ABS model and knew they didn't have any on their lot, but they are the closest dealer, so I figured I'd stop by and check it out. They surprised me by finding an ABS model of the bike I wanted (Rebel 500) at a nearby dealer, so I pulled the trigger.They made the rest of the process very easy and quick, and weren't pushy about extra warranties and service contracts, which I appreciated. Bike got dropped off on schedule a few days later and it's been great so far. Thanks guys!

Des Plaines Honda gave me a totally painless buying experience. Coming from Indiana, most of the work was done over the phone. They had prepped the bike for me before pickup and it was well detailed. I love my new bike and felt I got a great deal on it. The only issue I've had since purchase was a battery needing replacement. The bike was brand new but 4 years old and the battery was not up to the task. After replacing the battery, everything works fine. I am so glad I bought this bike from Des Plaines Honda!

I just bought my fourth GoldWing and I didn't buy it from Des Plaines Honda. I bought it from a private party because Honda sucks. I had been waiting and waiting for the NEW 2018 Wing forever as my 01 Illusion Red Dream bike is getting up there in age and mileage and it was just time. After test riding the 2018 Wing I seriously wanted to cry. What an abomination. I'm pissed off that Honda felt the need to cater to the metrosexual millenial and dumb down this awesome machine. Regardless, I kicked a lot of tires at DSP and just couldn't find the right fit. After buying a 2008, I went back to DSP and asked the Service Manager to go over the bike. He did, took it for a ride and gave me an enthusiastic approval. No Charge. It's why I LOVE these guys and have sent many people there to buy and service bikes. I'm a fan and customer for life. I will say unconditionally my buying experience at Des Plaines Honda was superb. The salesman Mike Kay was direct, helpful and to the point. And there was no pressure, even when I initially decided to put off buying. Later, when I decided to go ahead, the follow up with parts, warranties and other issues related to the purchase went quickly and smoothly, so I walked out with what I needed and wanted. My suggestion is that if you are interested in a Honda bike, and whether you end up buying something or not, drop in, look around, and say hi to the staff.

Purchased a new Bike from Mike. He was helpful. My problem came when I put down a down payment without asking for the final numbers. They had many charges that made the bike about $800- $1000 over what it should of cost! I checked another dealer after the fact. Very displeased but it was my own fault for not having them be more specific before signing the contract. Shame on me!! Also wanted to trade a used bike and called several times to and never got a call back in response by the sales manager on my bike.......he must not of been interested?

Being out of state, I could not be happier with the service I got from both Jo and Frank. We had a number of details that were necessary and they were always there to help and get the job done. I feel that I got a fair price and ironically, the delivery went without any problems, even though it was the coldest day of the year. I still cant believe that this all happened and I am eagerly waiting for the weather to warm up a bit, so I can hit the road. Today I bought a bike from Des Plaines Honda. My salesman was Drew and he was really great to work with. He knows all about the product and was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. Frank finished my purchase in the finance office and he was very quick and pleasant to deal with. He even suggested an agent for motorcycle insurance who ended up saving me quite a bit of money over my own agent which was awesome. If youre looking for a bike I highly recommend them. The sales process is simple and low stress and all of the staff I met including the guys in parts and service who introduced themselves were great guys and fun to work with. The next time Im in the market I will return to them without a doubt.

About a year ago I read that Honda would bring the updated version of the original Honda 50 back to the states. A month or so ago I called Des Plaines Honda to ask when they expected their first deliveries. Drew indicated there were already several deposits in hand, but that he would call me when one was available to look at. And he did. And Im now the proud owner of a brand new Super Cub 125. I came in certain of what I wanted and was hoping I didnt have to spend all morning at the dealership. Luckily Mike and Frank helped me get in and out super fast.
